
AAU Karate has adopted the American Sport Education Program's Coaching Principles course as part of its requirements for becoming a Technical Coach.
The Technical Coach certification is required for all coaches who desire access to staging and competition floor, may exercise coaching privileges at National Championship competitions.
The following are requirements for becoming a Technical Coach:
ASEP Coaching Principles course (classroom or online) passed at 80%;
Dan Certificate at any Black Belt level;
Successful completion of Technical Coach clinic.
