Welcome District School Board of Collier County (Fla.) coaches and administrators!

Collier County school district in partnership with the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) is proud to offer ASEP online courses Coaching Principles, Sport First Aid, and Coaching [Sport] Technical and Tactical Skills to certify coaches in your district and to earn the Florida Department of Education Athletic Coaching Endorsement.

Coaches earn certification by successfully completing the required online courses and passing the course exams with a minimum score of 80 percent.

Each course is equivalent to three (3) semester hours or 60 in-service points. Requirements for Florida Coaching Endorsement are nine (9) semester hours or 180 in-service points.

Coaching Orientation
CPR/AED for Coaches

After you register for the course, you will be sent a package of course materials (please allow 5 to 7 business days), including a text and CD-ROM, as well as instructions on how to access your course through the ASEP Web site.

When you've completed a course, you have the ability to print a certificate of course completion from the Web site and e-mail a course transcript to whoever may need documention of courses you've completed. These features are found under the ASEP National Coaches Registry area of the site.

This course will help you learn how to teach the skills and strategies and techniques and tactics of baseball. You’ll learn about approaches to coaching, including the games approach (an alternative to drills-based coaching), you’ll develop a season plan and a series of practice plans; and you’ll improve your ability to coach during games. This course is suitable for high school coaches and for serious club coaches, and college coaches.

Coaching Orientation

Gleaning material from the ASEP Coaching Principles, Sport First Aid, and Coaching [Sport] Technical and Tactical Skills courses, Coaching Orientation provides up-and-coming coaches with the essentials to step on the field for the first time. Clocking in at six hours, Coaching Orientation features interactive exercises, engaging graphics, poignant video vignettes, and quick pace to form a course that is informative, eye-opening, and enjoyable.

Coaching Principles

Coaching Principles covers the fundamentals of being a successful coach. Each year, more than 20,000 high school, club sport, and Olympic coaches take this course to further their professional development and meet certification requirements.
