Welcome Central Niagara Baseball &Softball Association (CNBSA) coaches and directors!

Central Niagara Baseball & Softball has partnered with the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) to provide online training and certification for CNBSA coaches.

ASEP has been training coaches for 30 years. Through the ASEP Volunteer Coaches Education Program, ASEP provides the most comprehensive and affordable coach training program for youth sport organizations available anywhere in the country. Numerous national sport organizations, youth sport organizations, and park districts have partnered with ASEP to bring education to their coaches, and they have agreed to do the same for CNBSA.

The youth sport experience should be a fun, safe, and enjoyable experience for all involved and that coaching education plays a vital role. Says Riester, CNBSA President, "I feel that information and training help me to be a better coach, which helps me to have more fun with my kids. With all the things I need to get done, I like the fact that I can complete my certification online when my schedule lets me."

Jeff Kramer, Vice President, Central Niagara Baseball & Softball Association, Inc. is equally excited about the program. "A quality program that's convenient and thorough in the knowledge that we want our coaches in CNBSA to have at each and every level. It provides us with credentialed consistency that's uniform to everyone who subscribes and completes the coursework." Both new and veteran baseball coaches will benefit from the materials used in the ASEP baseball and softball education courses.

"The best way to insure the quality of a child's experience in youth sports is to continually train and teach the coaching staff. The coaching staff has a significant impact on the child's enjoyment and continuation in our youth sports program."

The course curriculum includes:

Coaching Youth Baseball online course
• For all head coaches at the Rookie, Minor, and Major levels looking to take a baseball track.
• For assistant baseball coaches at all levels.

Coaching Youth Softball online course
• For all head coaches at the Rookie, Minor, and Major levels looking to take a softball track.
• For assistant softball coaches at all levels.

Coaching Baseball Technical and Tactical Skills online course
• For all head coaches at the Senior A, AA, and travel coaches at all levels.

Coaching Softball Technical and Tactical Skills online course
• For all head coaches at the Senior A, AA, and travel coaches at all levels.

All courses come with a three-year certification and inclusion in the ASEP National Coaches Registry, a comprehensive listing of coaches who have taken ASEP courses and obtained ASEP certifications. Certification is renewable with additional course work through ASEP. For those coaches or parents looking for more, you are not limited in any way, as ASEP offers additional courses and books through the ASEP Store.
