CYO Athletics of the Archdiocese of San Francisco

Welcome CYO Athletics of San Francisco coaches!

The
Catholic Coaching Essentials
is the online alternative coaches training that satisfies the coaching education requirements set forth by CYO Athletics of the Archdiocese of San Francisco. We require that all coaches take a coaching education course offered by CYO Athletics, however if you can’t make the in-person date of your coaches clinic then this online training is the alternative. The dates for the CYO Clinics are as follows:

For more information on each clinic please visit the CYO Athletics website at: cyo.cccyo.org.

As the exclusive coaching education provider to NCYOS (National Catholic Youth Organization Sports), ASEP has designed customized online coaching courses incorporating faith-based content. The courses carry the endorsement of NCYOS, and coaches in CYO Athletics are required to take the course if they can not attend the in-person training. The course costs $19.95 (which may or may not be reimbursed by your program, please contact your Athletics Director for information on reimbursement policies). Once you have completed the course please notify your Athletics Director and print the certification card. This card will be required to be shown prior to the start of each CYO game.
Please note, this training is in addition to the fingerprinting and screening required by the Archdiocese.

NEW! ALL coaches who take the online coaches training course MUST also read and submit his/her acknowledgment of the CYO Rules document below.
