Welcome Diocese of Columbus Recreation Association coaches!
The Catholic Coaching Essentials online training satisfies the coaching education recommendations set forth by the Diocese of Columbus Recreation Association for coaches participating in Diocese of Columbus Recreation Association programs.
As the exclusive coaching education provider to NCYOS (National Catholic Youth Organization Sports), ASEP has designed customized online coaching courses incorporating faith-based content. The courses carry the endorsement of NYCOS. The Catholic Coaching Essentials online course is the prerequisite to the sport-specific courses, and both are highly recommended for coaches to complete prior to the start of practices for their sport season to help prepare them to be the best Catholic coaches they can be.
Coaches taking Catholic Coaching Essentials and at least one sport-specific course will be nationally certified and recognized through NCYOS. The coaching certification is a 3-year certification.
