Welcome HYFCA Coaches!

Huntley Youth Football & Cheer Association has adopted the American Sport Education Program's coaching education courses as part of the requirement for becoming coach in HYFCA programs.  Coaches should purchase the appropriate course below for the team that they are responsible for.  Coaches should complete the course prior to their first practice.  Once a coach has completed the course, they can print/email their transcript record from ASEP’s National Coaches Registry as proof of completion.

Head Football Coaches are required to take ASEP’s Coaching Principles Course.

Assistant Football Coaches are required to take ASEP’s Coaching Youth Football Online Course 4th Edition – PDF.  This course draws content from the book, Coaching Youth Football Fourth Edition, written by ASEP in conjunction with Tom Bass, former National Football League coach and USA Football technical advisor. Coach Bass is an advocate of youth sports and served as content expert for the online course.

Cheer Coaches are requested to take ASEP’s Coaching Essentials Online Course – PDF. 

Board Members are strongly encouraged to take ASEP’s Directing Youth Sports Programs Online Course. 

For coaches really wanting to broaden their horizons, the ASEP Coaching Football Technical and Tactical Skills Course or Coaching Principals Course are great ways to continue your education.  These courses cover material suitable for high school coaches and for serious club coaches, college coaches, and advanced coaches at the youth level.
