Welcome Kansas coaches!
Since 1981, the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) and the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) jointly have trained coaches for the member schools of Kansas. ASEP is proud of the long-time affiliation with the KSHSAA, and we look forward to training new KSHSAA coaches in the future.
With the requirement that all non-faculty interscholastic coaches in Kansas be trained prior to assuming coaching duties in their second year, ASEP is poised to assist the KSHSAA in reaching this commendable goal. ASEP congratulates the state of Kansas on taking a strong stance in support of coaching education.
ASEP courses that meet the Kansas requirements to become an unsupervised Coach Aid are listed below:
Coaches must pass the ASEP Coaching Principles course (online or classroom) as well as the ASEP Sport First Aid course (online or classroom) or an equivalent.
For a list of scheduled Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid classroom courses, contact the KSHSAA or search the ASEP Classroom Course Finder.
