The American Sport Education Program (ASEP) is proud to partner with University of Wisconsin-Platteville (UWP) to offer our Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid online courses to teachers and coaches for continuing education units (CEUs) and undergraduate credits.
This option is especially valuable to elementary, middle school, and high school faculty-coaches who are required to earn continuing education credit to maintain their teaching certificate (and to earn a raise). From the comfort of your own home, you have the ability to earn continuing education credit by taking a course in which you have genuine interest: coaching! Each year, more than 25,000 high school, club sport, and Olympic coaches take Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid courses to further their professional development and meet certification requirements.
Thanks to our partner the University of Wisconsin-Platteville for making this option available to teachers and coaches.
Instructions for student application
Prior to purchasing the ASEP Coaching Principles online course (which you will do from this page), you must first complete the UWP student application. If you haven't completed this step already, follow these instructions:
1. Go to www.uwplatt.edu/cont_ed;
2. Select "Professional Development" in the first column in the body of the page;
Click on American Sport Education Program (ASEP);
Review the material and then click on Register Now.
3. Either register for CEUs or Credit. Complete the registration and payment screens. Upon successful submission, you will receive an e-mail response confirming receipt. If you are registering for undergraduate credit, you will be given a user ID and password for the UWP portion of the online class.
