Welcome Vermont coaches!

The Vermont Principals' Association (VPA) Coaches Education Program is offered in cooperation with the American Sport Education Program (ASEP), and is regulated by the VPA and administered by the Vermont State Athletic Directors Association (VSADA). The VPA Coaches Education Program includes the ASEP Bronze Level courses Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid. Each year, more than 25,000 coaches across the country are credentialed through these courses.

The VSADA and VPA offer Coaching Principles online and classroom courses and Sport First Aid online and classroom courses.

VSADA and VPA coaches can purchase and take Coaching Principles Online and Sport First Aid Online directly from the ASEP Web site. Just click on the corresponding icon in the course table below. Or, if you prefer to take the Coaching Principles Classroom and Sport First Aid Classroom versions of the courses, contact the VSADA or VPA for a schedule of clinics or search ASEP’s Classroom Course Finder.

Coaching Principles

Coaching Principles covers the fundamentals of being a successful coach. Each year, more than 20,000 high school, club sport, and Olympic coaches take this course to further their professional development and meet certification requirements.

Instructor-Led Classroom Course With Print Materials This course is offered in a classroom setting led by certified instructors from ASEP partner organizations.

Sport First Aid - 4th Edition

Newly revised and updated, this fourth edition of the course provides coaches and students with clear guidelines on what’s expected of them as first responders, as well as action steps for the care and prevention of more than 110 athletic injuries and illnesses.
