Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association

Welcome Wisconsin coaches!

The American Sport Education Program (ASEP) is proud to work with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) in delivering coaching education courses and certifications to Wisconsin high school coaches. The WIAA recognizes and accepts the ASEP Coaching Principles course (online or classroom) and Sport First Aid course (online or classroom) as meeting its coaching education requirements for scholastic coaches.

Wisconsin coaches can purchase and take the online versions of Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid from this Web site. If you are only looking to take one of the courses, just click on the appropriate icon in the table at the bottom of the page. To purchase both online courses at the same, and save money in the process, select the ASEP Coaching Education Package.

If you prefer to take the classroom versions of Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid, contact the WIAA for a schedule of clinics in your area or search the ASEP Classroom Course Finder. Classroom course packets cannot be purchased through the Web site; they must be purchased through a certified ASEP instructor.

Above and beyond Coaching Principles and Sport First Aid, the WIAA encourages our coaches to take additional coaching courses to further their professional development. ASEP offers a variety of online courses suitable for high school, middle and junior high school, and youth coaches, many of which are sport-specific. These courses are purely optional and by themselves do not satisfy the WIAA coaching education requirements.

ASEP courses recommended by the WIAA for high school and middle school coaches:
Coaching Baseball Technical and Tactical Skills online course
Coaching Basketball Technical and Tactical Skills online course
Coaching Football Technical and Tactical Skills online course
Coaching Softball Technical and Tactical Skills online course
