Back to Bronze Level Course Adoption
If you currently use the Sport First Aid text or are considering adopting it for your coaching class, you may be interested to know that Human Kinetics Coach Education offers an entire course that's based on the text and through which 10,000 coaches receive accreditation each year. Adopt the entire course and invest in a complete program that will save you time and effort, handle many of your administrative tasks, and in many cases offer your students a valuable coaching certification. It all adds up to a comprehensive, challenging curriculum for your students and a convenient administrative solution for you.
Risk management is an important concern in today's athletic environment. What coaches don't know about injury prevention, evaluation, and treatment could have serious implications for your athletes, organization, school, or district. Through Sport First Aid, coaches receive clear instruction on proper first-aid administration based on the latest health care research and best practices.

To facilitate ease of course delivery and ensure consistent delivery of content, instructors sign an instructor agreement and receive the instructor resources. The instructor guide offers valuable guidelines for presenting course material, a library of learning activities to incorporate into the course, and three versions of the course test. The DVD contains footage designed to set the stage for the small-group learning activities that introduce the concepts presented in each unit of the course.
Human Kinetics Coach Education courses are also available as online courses.
The courses are hosted on our servers and use the same textbooks and tests as the classroom versions of the courses. Students come to the Human Kinetics Coach Education site to take their courses. We can even create a “portal page” for your school on our site through which your students may purchase online courses directly from us, which in many cases is a less expensive alternative for students.
We suggest a blended teaching approach when offering the online course, which employs a combination of online course material and classroom interaction. In a typical scenario, the instructor brings the students into the classroom every couple of weeks to keep them on task, have discussions, answer questions, and assign additional papers or outside activities.
To teach a Human Kinetics Coach Education course at your college or university, you will first sign an instructor agreement and receive the accompanying instructor guide and DVD. The instructor agreement and resources ensure that all students, at clinics or on campus, receive the same high-quality coaching education and certification.
Each of your students is required to purchase a new course packet, which includes the course textbook (or e-book), classroom workbook (classroom course only), and test packet. Again, this step ensures consistent education and allows us to recognize each student who successfully completes the course
