Exactly! By catching the ball low, the receiver can maintain his forward momentum.
The receiver should also
- catch the ball while moving slightly forward or with weight on the balls of his feet;
- avoid catching a kick and then taking a balance step backward; and
- start the return as soon as the ball is secured, but not before!
