Based on NFHS guidelines, this e-course will help you prepare to officiate soccer games. The course contains material suitable for officials at the high school level and covers NFHS mechanics. You'll learn your officiating responsibilities, including pregame and postgame procedures and the mechanics of officiating soccer.

In this course you will learn how to

• explain the purpose and philosophy of officiating (unit 1),
• perform pregame, during game and postgame procedures (unit 2),
• use proper dual-system mechanics (unit 3),
• use proper diagonal-system mechanics (unit 4),
• use proper double-dual system mechanics (unit 5) and
• use correct officiating signals (unit 6).

Included with this online course are the texts, Officiating Soccer, written by the American Sport Education Program (ASEP) in cooperation with the National Federation of State High Schools (NFHS), and the most current edition of the NFHS Soccer Rules Book, plus the Officiating Soccer Mechanics CD (NFHS Edition), developed by Epic Sports Software in cooperation with ASEP and the NFHS.
