Through the sponsorship of LA84 Foundation, the initiative provides youth basketball coaches affiliated with SCMAF with online training at no cost. LA84 Foundation and SCMAF highly recommend coaches participate in the course, which is accessible through the ASEP Web site at www.ASEP.com.

This is the second course released through the collaboration, joining the LA84 Foundation’s Art of Coaching online course released last year. That course, coupled with the newly launched basketball-specific course, provides basketball coaches with a well-rounded learning experience addressing general coaching principles, sport first aid, and sport-specific technical and tactical skills.

“We’re excited to bring these courses to SCMAF coaches,” says ASEP executive director Jim Schmutz. “We applaud LA84 Foundation for funding the program and for equipping SCMAF coaches with the means to provide a high quality, meaningful sport experience for Southern California youth,” states Schmutz.

SCMAF will provide its basketball coaches will a special key code for accessing the course. Those with questions about the program may visit the Partner Organizations\LA84 Foundation section of the ASEP Web site at www.ASEP.com.
